Meet the illustrator behind our Gifts of Pure Joy

Meet Sarah Capper, the creator of these exquisitely illustrated Gifts of Pure Joy

‘’Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m fascinated by colours and details in nature and replicate this in my own unique way, with tiny floral and patterned detail.

I love nothing more than to doodle and I take my inspiration from nature .. patterns and shapes derived from flowers, repetitive formations that are all around us.

My background is in Textiles design and after graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Textiles design, specialising in embroidery, I found my passion in life. I was lucky to land some great jobs based around sales in the textiles industry which led to another passion of travelling.

In 2015 I took the plunge and created a business called Doodleicious, doing what I absolutely love and haven't looked back. Doodleicious was born out of a love of the natural world and care for the environment, creating pattern , balancing colour and being immersed in nature. Based in the heart of the countryside, on the Shropshire/Cheshire border, inspiration for designs are on my doorstep and time spent outdoors is treasured.

All my illustrations are hand drawn using a fine line pen and then hand coloured with polychromes or water colour pencils and then digitised for print.  Greeting cards, Art prints and other products are available. All my greeting cards are printed in the UK on forest friendly board sourced in the UK and packed with compostable wrap, or no wrap at all’’. Sarah

Sarah's designs have been recognised by several prestigious brands such as The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew and the RSPB so we were honoured that she agreed to illustrate our gift boxes this year. Doodleicious is now sold around the World. There are over 500 exquisite Greeting card designs to choose from within the Doodleicious collection.
